You might want all your classes done privately, or only one or two if you know, for instance, you'll be out of town on a particular day. It's up to you. If you are able to attend some group classes, the benefit to you is that you still get to meet other expectant parents and have the chance to interact and share ideas with them in class while the private sessions ensure you don't miss anything.

Classes done privately take less time than group classes because they are structured differently for a one-on-one approach. A complete series of private classes for first-time parents costs $660, and usually takes 6 hours over two or three days. A refresher series of private classes for parents who have had a baby before costs $440 and usually takes 4 hours over two days.
