About ParentLink Labour Support
Who will be my doula?

 |
| You want to be sure you feel completely comfortable with your doula – that she is someone you feel you can be
honest and open with, and someone you'll be glad you invited to be part of your birth experience. |
ParentLink doulas work closely together as a team. We have all had similar training and take a similar approach to supporting the parents
we work with, although naturally each of us has her own individual style. This is one of ParentLink's great benefits to
you – our close teamwork means you have the support of not just one doula, but a whole network behind you!
When you book, you are assigned a doula taking several factors into account, including which doula would
offer the best match for your needs, and who is available to be on call around your due date. You may request a specific doula to work with you
and we will make every effort to accommodate your choice if she is available. You will receive a booking acknowledgement with your schedule
of childbirth class dates and your doula's name and contact details. Most of the time, by the time you have booked, you have met your doula
at a Newly Born and Nearly Born Gathering, had a consultation with her, or spoken to her on the phone.
If in the rare event you don't feel you "click" with your doula, please just let us know and we'll work with you on
making a new arrangement. This has only happened once or twice for us, out of hundreds and hundreds of births,
and we were able to find a solution that made everyone happy. The top priority is that you feel comfortable and supported.
